The holidays are about to kick-off, and this year in the St. Croix Valley, we have some BIG plans! All of the favorite festivals are back, some bigger than ever, and we even have a BRAND-NEW holiday spectacular to unveil in St. Croix Falls.
Visit the “Christmas Card Village” of Taylors Falls, MN
This annual event is classic small town holiday charm with three full days of festive fun! The Lighting Festival is held each Thanksgiving weekend and families gather in our charming community to celebrate the beginning of the holiday season. The official opening is the Friday, 6 PM grand lighting of main street and Santa Parade. The festival continues all weekend and includes a medallion hunt, Royal Lady’s Tea, Winter Orchestra Concert, and more!
This year’s theme is the Swedish Immigrant Trail, and celebrates the newly built section of the paved trail that connects Taylors Falls to the rest of the Chisago Lakes region. Commemorative ornaments are on sale at area shops!
This year, gather around the giant Christmas tree and watch the Winter Fireworks show!
“Rivertown Holiday” in downtown St. Croix Falls is a time to celebrate the season as a community and support our local businesses! Visit Santa, shop unique stores, and get festive with caroling and an amazing WINTER FIREWORKS SHOW at Severson Memorial Overlook Park! This year, check out the giant, decorated Christmas Tree at the Overlook. It will be a picture-perfect spot to take your holiday photos with the Wild and Scenic St. Croix River as your backdrop.

Big Rock Creek, just north of St. Croix Falls, will host the 1st annual Christmas Light Tour on their 1,000 acre property! Enjoy the holidays and good old fashioned family fun in a beautiful, wooded setting.
